1st. Increasing attaintment levels to provide the graduate and researchers Europe needs.
Participating in this program will make our courses more attractive for secondary school students at educational stages
previous to higher education. In addition, the students of higher education, will improve their capabilities through the
Erasmus experience. It will expand their horizons as well as improve their knowledge of other languages. The lack of
knowledge of foreign languages in our country clearly limits future research possibilities. These limitations will be reduced
by participating in this program.
2nd. Improving the quality and relevance of Higher Education Staff mobility will allow us to see first hand how other
countries High Educational Institutions work and, therefore, we will be able to improve two things; our working methods and
our curriculum. Having the opportunity to compare will allow us to enhance what we do well and implement what we see
others do better than us, as our main aim is to attain excellence in teaching. All this will result in better prepared students,
closer to the professional profiles required by companies. The educational cooperation projects based on the
methodological innovation that we have described previously will especially contribute to this aim.
3rd Strengthening quality through mobility and cross-border cooperation To Implement and develop the Erasmus program
will provide us with the right framework to work in greater depth all aspects of the European Higher Education Area. We
specifically want to develop the European credit transfer system in our courses, Optics and Social Integration, to achieve
greater clarity and the validation of studies. The learning agreements of student mobility will decisively contribute to it.
Besides, we want to share methods and results with other Educational European Institutions after the implementation,
through participation in cooperative projects related to this subject.
4th Making the knowledge triangle work: Linking higher education, research and business for excellence and regional
development As we have mentioned above, we have close relationships with companies in our industry due to the structure
of our curriculum, which includes traineeships in real productive environment . Participating in this program will allow us to
share this advantage with other educational institutions as well as to get benefits of the business´ contacts of the
institutions that will receive us. We believe that exchanges and cooperation projects reinforce these connections.
5th Improve governance and funding. We aim to facilitate as much as possible the exchanges placing all means available
at our disposal and seeking the cooperation of public and private entities. We will manage the visits we receive as
efficiently as possible.
